I’ve been playing games since the Atari 2600 and never really stopped. I grew up primarily with Nintendo, moving from the NES to the SNES and after that I moved to the Playstation. It wasn’t until the previous generation (PS2,GC,Xbox) that I started own every system on the market, even now I collect more every day with my personal collection totaling over 2000 games, you can bet, I love video games.

Beyond that I’ve almost always been a bit of a writer, short stories and the like, never fan fiction though and don’t mistake me for somebody like that. I draw, read, write, and just create things in general.

I created pixelizedreality.com, which is my personal website of ancient video game reviews and my radio show Bits and Bytes which features video game music from yesteryear to today and whatever other randomness catches my fancy.

I also collect laserdiscs and vinyl, but I always have, I always loved the novel size of laser discs as well as the visual quality and the sound of vinyl is unmatched.

Favourite Video Games: Snatcher, Policenauts, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VI, Super Castlevania IV (pretty much any and every one), Mega Man (see castlevania), the Tales Series, Metal Gear 1 and 2 on the MSX, Space Quest IV, Pin Bot, truly there are too many.

A few movies I enjoy: Star Wars (the originals, as enjoyed on laserdisc), Blade Runner, Evil Dead series, Escape from New York, Fatherland, The Addams Family, Terminator/Terminator 2, Hackers (nobody said I wasn’t tacky) and a myriad of other things I can’t possibly think of.

What type of music do I listen to?: Orchestral, Techno (a lot of House usually), Great stuff from the 80s, Bad stuff from the 90s (think 90s techno, so bad it’s good!). Stuff I listen to these days though, Tesla Boy, CFCF, Danger, Justice, Melee Beats, Progressive Rock (like Tangerine Dream, Zombi, Klaus Shulze) and obviously I listen to video game music.

Favourite Books: Do androids dream of electric sheep?, Twelve Kingdoms, Dune, Von Bek, Elric novels, The Last Unicorn (the movie’s good too), Lankmar novels, Coldfire Trilogy, Red mars. As you can see I read a lot of sci-fi/fantasy novels, I read non-fiction too but hey that’s nothing really to talk about.
