CD Projekt Red's cyberpunk game that has been gestating for awhile has been given the title Cyberpunk 2077. In addition to the new name the developer has also given several new bits of information about the upcoming role playing game.
Cyberpunk 2077 will take place in a "dark future" 2077 where new "advanced technologies" have become "both the salvation and the curse of humanity." The game designed for "mature" players promises a nonlinear story set in the fictional "Night City." The game will also feature sandbox elements in terms of gameplay but no specifics were elaborated upon.
