Free Mass Effect 3: Retaliation DLC Adds Tons of New Content

MER

Even with the departure of the doctors, Bioware keeps pushing forward. The developer has just announced new multiplayer DLC for Mass Effect 3 which adds a significant amount of content to the game, which will cost players nothing.

Available October 9th, players will now face off against Mass Effect 2 villains the Collectors. Co-op teams will now have to do battle against the Collector Praetorian, Scion, Abomination, Trooper, and Captain. Cerberus will also be getting the Dragoon enemy type while the Geth will be beefing up their numbers with new drones.

N7 squads won't be entirely outgunned with new characters classes becoming available including the Turian Havoc Soldier, Turian Ghost Infiltrator and the promise of many others being added on a regular basis.

While no new maps have been announced for the Retaliation DLC there will be variations on existing maps, dubbed Hazard versions. These new takes on ME3 multiplayer maps will have environmental hazards and traps including sandstorms, acid, lightening, meltdown, swarms and whiteouts which are sure to give players headaches.

In addition to new character upgrades and Collector weapons, Bioware has also added a new challenge feature. Multiplayer challenges have become available, rewarding particular feats with display titles and banners that can be shown off in the pre-game lobby.
