A new report that has popped up on The Verge is suggesting that Xbox Music will launch later this month (Oct. 26) and include free streaming music from the cloud. Following a model like Spotify the service will be offered for free to users with ad support as well as a premium ad free subscription fee. Music and playlists will be stored in the cloud using Microsoft Skydrive.
The report suggests that the new service will be available for the Xbox 360 and Windows 8 platforms including new Windows 8 phones and PCs. Xbox Music is also expected to come to Android and iOS at somepoint with apps built for each platform.
If you happen to be one of the few that bought a Zune have no fear as you will be migrated over to Xbox Music.
