Left 4 Dead 3 Possible One Day, Series sells 12 million

In typical Valve fashion, the development of Left 4 Dead 3 hasn't been ruled out but there is also no guarantee the game will ever get made.

In a interview with Eurogamer, Valve writer Chet Faliszek was asked about a third installment in the popular zombie franchise.

"A 3? You know, some time down the road," he said. "Like anything, I would say that to all of our games. So that's not a promise of when or where. I really love working on that series. It's one of my favourite series. It's just so much fun with the characters and the world. I love zombies and I love horror. So, yeah."

One would assume that a third installment of the Left 4 Dead franchise would be a no brainer with the series selling over 12 million to date according to Faliszek in an interview with VG24/7. In the interview Faliszek also goes into Valve's ideas regarding marketing their games.

"We just let the game speak for itself because the internet has made this thing where, you can’t pull the wool over people’s eyes any more. They’re going to know you’re hyping."

"But when a game does really well at pre-release, they’re going to know that you’re not just talking a bunch of PR crap. I mean, the Left 4 Dead series has now sold over 12 million copies."

I for one would love a third installment of Left 4 Dead. Lets hope it doesnt turn into the same situation at Half Life 3.
