No Metal Gear Rising for Xbox 360 Owners in Japan

Today Konami announced that the highly anticipated Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance from Platinum Games has been cancelled for the Xbox 360 in Japan.
Konami hasn't given a reason for the cancellation but it is probably due to the Xbox 360 being far less popular in Japan than other modern consoles. Xbox 360 owners in the west have nothing to worry about as Konami still plans on shipping 360 copies to North America on February 19th and and February 21st in Europe.
Speaking to IGN Konami said "Metal Gear Rising Revengeance for Xbox 360 and PS3 will be released in the West as planned in February 2013."
