Lollipop Chainsaw Ships 700,000

Grasshopper CEO Suda 51 and Japanese publisher Kadokawa held an 'Summer Appreciate Event" for Lollipop Chainsaw in Tokyo. At the event it was announced that Lollipop Chainsaw shipped over 700,000 units making it the most shipped game in Grasshopper's history.
Last summmer Grasshopper's Shadows of the Damned shipped only 24,000 units in it's first week on sale. Both companies are probably very happy with these numbers for Lollipop Chainsaw and it appears a zombie killing cheerleader is popular with gamers.
At the appreciation event, Suda 51 also showed off Grasshopper's next game called 'Killer is Dead,' which will star a cyborg that wields a katana. Killer is Dead is schedule for an Xbox 360 and PS3 release sometime next year.
