Microsoft Drops the Price of Kinect

Microsoft has decided to drop the price on their Xbox 360 Kinect device. While it may be a preemptive move for the upcoming holiday season, will the new price make those of you without a Kinect rush out to pick one up?
The official price of the Kinect has dropped from $149.99 to $109.99, a nice decrease of $40 bucks (yay! math). The Kinect is already listed at it's new price on Amazon.
The current price drop is only for North America but will eventually hit Latin America, Asia Pacific regions and eventually come to Australia and New Zealand on October 4th. No word yet on whether the price drop will make it's way to Europe or Japan.
Major Nelson made sure to mention that “the final retail price will vary in each region based on the currency and other variables."
