Bioshock Infinite's multiplayer modes cut, two key developers leave company

BioshockInfinite

Earlier this week two key developers at Irrational Games, Art director Nate Wells and Director of Product Development Tim Gerritsen, left the company. Not much is known as to why the two left the company but Irrational creative director and co-creator Ken Levine confirmed their departures via Twitter.

Following that news the company has announced today that it's two co-operative modes have been cut form the game. The first was a tower defense mode "that never worked." It had players placed in an arcade machine where they would fight waves of enemy toys. The second is was internally called "Spec-Ops" and functioned similarly to the mode in Call of Duty.

As of now it is not sure if any other modes will be included in the game by release.

According to Kotaku Levine won't everyone to be assured that the game is still set for a February release and says team members leaving a company is an expected move in this industry.
