The first downloadable Tony Hawk game has done brisk business on Xbox Live Arcade despite being on sale for just over a week. Developer Robomodo told Gamasutra that the skateboarding game has sold approximately 120,000 copies since it released on Xbox Live Arcade last Wednesday.
As part of the Summer of Arcade lineup, Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD is temporarily an Xbox 360 exclusive. The 120,000 sales figure is strictly Xbox sales only since the game will release on PS3 and PC later this year.
Due to great word of mouth sales are "staying very consistent" said Josh Tsui of Robomodo. He also believes that the sales of the digital title has been doing well because of "people are more apt to try games that are smaller and downloadable."
