Borderlands 2 is officially finished

On the Gearbox's official blog the team announced that Borderlands 2 is completely finished and that they are now working on it's post launch downloadable content.

“Today, we have some exciting new to share about Borderlands 2—the game is headed to certification,” says the team.

The post goes on to state that since they are unable to add any addition content to the disc the developer is working new content for the game including the Mechromancer, a new character available to members of the Premiere Club 60-90 days after launch.

By preordering the game you can gain access to the Premiere Club which will not give you the new Mechromancer character but also a Vault Hunter relic, golden weapons and a key to a special chest within the game.

Borderlands 2 will be available on September 18.
