Next Rocksteady game will be a Silver Age prequel

The currently unannounced follow up to Batman Arkham City will be a prequel story based on the Silver Age of DC's comic books which is when Batman and a number of other heroes teamed up to create the Justice League of America, reports Variety.

The title is also said to include Batman's first meeting with the Joker which Mark Hamill has previously stated he would not be voicing.

The upcoming game is said to help get people used to seeing all of these superheroes together to prepare them for the inevitable Justice League film.

The game, which Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment declined to comment on to Variety is likely to hit sometime in 2013.
