Activision announces The Walking Dead game for next year

Activision has announced a new FPS Walking Dead game featuring Daryl and Merle Dixon from Developer Terminal Reality. Players will take control of Daryl before the events of the show and will use either stealth to avoid oncoming zombies or take them on head on.

There will be low amounts of food, ammunition and other supplies to use throughout the game so you'll need to use them as necessary. Daryl will also encounter a number of characters that can either help, harm or join Daryl but it's to you as the player to make the right decisions to survive.

Activision's Walking Dead game will be available in 2013 on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, but for now Telltale's series will continue on for the next few months and season three of the Walking Dead will premiere in October.
